Who Is Eligible
The special offer on eligible new vehicles is available to:
- Active Duty members
- Reservists & National Guard members
- Veterans and Retirees of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard
- Sponsored spouses of eligible members
Which Vehicles Qualify
Many new and unused GM vehicles are eligible, including:
- Cars, SUVs, and crossovers
- Midsize, light-duty, and HD pickup trucks
- Passenger and cargo vans

Registration runs through ID.me to confirm military status. Here's what works for each category.
Service Members
- • Leave & Earnings Statement (LES) issued within the last 30 days
- • Current Orders showing activation dates (Guard/Reserve)
Veterans
- • DD214
- • VA Card
- • Letter from VA showing 100% service-connected evaluation
Retirees
- • Retiree Account Statement (eRAS)
- • Retiree Verification of Pay Letter
- • Retiree Separation Orders
- • Retiree Uniformed Services ID Card
- • DAVPRM Uniformed Services ID Card
Per federal regulations (Title 18, U.S. Code Part 1, Chapter 33, Section 701), a military ID card (CAC) cannot be used for ID.me verification.

Does this extend to surviving spouses or family?
No. The program is limited to eligible service members, veterans, retirees, and their currently sponsored spouse.
Can I combine this with current GM offers?

Can I combine it with the GM Mobility Program?
Yes. The GM Military Appreciation offer can be combined with GM Mobility reimbursements.
Do I have to finance through GM Financial?
No. You can purchase or lease through any financial institution. Keep in mind that some APR offers are exclusive to specific lenders, so it's worth asking what fits your situation best.
Is a down payment required?
That depends on the vehicle and terms you choose. Our team will walk you through the down payment options on the specific vehicle you're considering — no surprises.
How many vehicles can I purchase under the program?
Eligible participants receive two (2) authorization numbers per year, and each is valid for 90 days from the date it is issued. The dealer must have your authorization number before you can take delivery.

The essentials every Participant and Sponsored Purchaser should know before delivery.
Registration Required
All Participants must register and verify their military status through ID.me before purchasing or leasing an Eligible Vehicle.
Authorization Numbers
Two authorizations per Participant per year. Each is valid for 90 days. Report any unauthorized use to GM immediately.
Required Documents
Bring a valid authorization number and a copy of the Purchaser's driver's license (license number redacted) showing the ZIP Code and Date of Birth used for the authorization.
Documentation Fees
Dealers may charge up to $75 in documentation fees, unless state law specifies a different amount applied uniformly to all customers.
Personal Use Only
Vehicles must be titled and used for personal, noncommercial purposes. They cannot be registered to a business or sold before the retention period ends.
No Inducements
Participants may not solicit or accept cash discounts outside GM-sponsored incentives. Nominal noncash items under $50 offered to the general public (like a free first oil change) are permitted.
GM reserves the right to modify or withdraw the Program at any time. Final decisions on interpretation rest solely with GM. The Program cannot be retroactively applied to a prior purchase or lease.
